Artist’s Notes

Once again, I fought with controlling the stark shifts of Light during Editing. The Highlights were brought down considerably and the Shadows were lifted just as much. I’m left with a surprisingly dramatic scene where the flock seemingly surrounds the sole flamingo standing in direct sunlight.

To be honest, there is no way to plan this type of Capture. The sunlight was so bright that day it was difficult to see exactly what I was photographing. You simply do your best to compose the shot and see what the results are.
